Connect your POS

ShelfCount reads your sales from Square or Clover and costs each one down to the ingredient, modifiers included. Toast is built and waiting on partner approval. Here is what each connection reads, what it never touches, and where it stands today.

What every integration has in common

  • Read-only. It reads your catalog, orders and locations. It never writes an item, a price or a sale back to your POS.
  • Modifier-aware. Oat milk, an extra shot, no ice: each modifier can change the ingredients a sale used, so a drink is costed as it was actually made.
  • About every 15 minutes. Sales are pulled on a regular cycle, so reports stay close to current.
  • Webhooks where the POS offers them. Square can send them once you add a webhook signature key in settings. Clover's start with one-click connect, and Toast's once Toast opens. A webhook only tells us something changed; we then pull the real data from the POS's API and never trust the webhook's contents.
  • Switching POS. Switch POS later and your recipes stay. You remap the menu items, not the recipes.
