Affiliate Program Terms

These terms govern your participation in the ShelfCount affiliate program, run by Mentrup Group LLC. Applying to the program means you agree to them. They’re short on purpose — if something is unclear, email hello@insidermanagement.net and ask before you start promoting.

What you earn

You earn 25% of every invoice a referred customer pays us, for as long as that customer keeps paying and this program keeps running. It isn’t a one-time bounty, and there is no cap on how many customers you refer.

  • Commission accrues on paid invoices only. A trial, an unpaid invoice, or a discounted invoice earns exactly what was actually collected — 25% of $0 is $0.
  • A customer is yours if they arrive through your link and sign up within 60 days of the click. Attribution is last-click: if they click someone else’s link after yours, the later click wins.
  • Each customer is attributed to one affiliate, once, at signup. Attribution can’t be reassigned afterwards.

When you get paid

  • Every commission sits in a 60-day hold after the invoice is paid. That covers the window where a payment can still be refunded or disputed.
  • Once a month we total the commissions that have cleared the hold and send them to you through Stripe.
  • The minimum payout is $25. A smaller balance rolls over to the next month rather than being lost — transfer fees would eat it otherwise.
  • You need a Stripe account to be paid. You set it up from your affiliate dashboard; Stripe verifies your identity and collects your tax form (W-9 in the US, W-8BEN elsewhere). We never see your bank details, and we can’t pay you before that’s done.
  • You’re an independent contractor, not an employee or agent. Taxes on what you earn are yours to handle.

Refunds and chargebacks

If we refund or lose a chargeback on an invoice you earned commission on, that commission is reversed. If it hasn’t been paid out yet, it simply disappears from your balance. If it has already been paid out, we may deduct it from a future payout.

You must disclose that you earn a commission

This is not optional and it’s not just our rule — the FTC’s Endorsement Guides require anyone with a financial interest in a recommendation to say so clearly, and close to the link. Burying it in a footer or a bio doesn’t count.

Any of these is fine. Copy one:

  • “I earn a commission if you sign up through this link.”
  • “Affiliate link — I get paid if you subscribe, at no extra cost to you.”
  • “#ad” at the start of a social post.

On video, say it out loud as well as putting it on screen. In email, include it in the body, not only in the footer.

What you may not do

  • No self-referral. You can’t sign your own business (or one you own, run, or are paid by) up through your link. Those commissions are void.
  • No brand bidding. Don’t buy paid search ads on “ShelfCount” or close variants, and don’t use the name in ad copy, display URLs, or domains you own.
  • No spam. Unsolicited bulk email, DM blasts, forum and comment spam, and posting in communities that don’t allow promotion are all out. Follow the rules of every platform you post on.
  • No impersonation and no false claims. Don’t present yourself as ShelfCount, don’t invent pricing, features, guarantees, or results, and don’t promise anything we don’t actually offer.
  • No coupon, cashback, or incentive sites, and no cookie-stuffing, typosquatting, or automated click generation.

Ending it

You can leave whenever you like — stop sharing your link and email us. Commissions already earned and cleared still get paid.

We can remove anyone from the program at any time. If we remove you for breaking the rules above, unpaid commissions are forfeited and attribution on your referrals ends. If we remove you for any other reason, or wind the program down, we pay out what you’ve already earned.

Changes

We may change these terms, including the commission rate, with 30 days’ notice by email to the address on your affiliate account. Changes are not retroactive: commissions already accrued are paid under the terms in effect when they accrued. Continuing to share your link after a change takes effect means you accept it.

Nothing here creates a partnership, franchise, or employment relationship, and the program is not exclusive in either direction. These terms sit alongside our terms of service and privacy policy.
